How do you work with PE / VC sponsors?
We work as “outsourced” operating partners. We have deep relationships with growth equity and venture capital sponsors, but our work is with specific portfolio companies for which we can deliver unique value.
For new investments, how do you support the due diligence process?
We offer due diligence engagements where we partner with PE / VC sponsors to evaluate a prospective investment. In this work, we help evaluate the target company, including their market, GTM strategy, product offerings and roadmap, management team, and processes and procedures. If the investment is a fit for both the PE / VC sponsor and Cross Operating Partners, we partner to create a high-level strategy / vision for the investment.
When partnering on a new investment, what role do you play?
If due diligence confirms a mutual fit, our Operating Partner role typically includes serving on the Board of Directors, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to set the company’s strategy, creating and tracking performance against long-term and annual operating plans, leading initiatives to design and implement scalable processes, and advising on critical areas like talent acquisition, customer retention, and cash management.
